As a trusted advisor in your field, you are likely to have some clients who are stalled due to the emotional and psychological barriers to their succession/business exit. I can address that initial hurdle that enables you to progress with your client. I work with accountants, solicitors and IFAs to get the client emotionally and strategically ready to precoeed with transaction. This enables you to focus on your overall client relationship and retention.
Every partnership is different but I believe the following principles provide the foundations of transparency and trust:
1. Non-competing – I do not provide any technical advisory service that is competive with any of my partners. My focus is the coaching of the founder and potential successors and I respect all existing client relationships.
2. Confidential – I respect and keep confidential any client or partner information relevant to the partnership & do not disclose them, without express written consent from my partners.
3. Mutually beneficial in the long term – The intent is to build a long-term relationship where clients gain more value from the addition of each other’s services, where there is a genuine identified need. I do not engage in short-term commission based partnerships.
